Membership

Membership of the MPS Emerald Society can be applied for on-line. The benefits include reduced rate merchandise, inclusion on trips organised, reduced / free entry to events organised on behalf of the society.

You can join the Society on-line by filling in the form to the right. As a security feature the Secretary will then check your details and confirm the application before processing.

For those members who have direct salary deductions. The fee will be deducted from salary on pay-day and will be itemised on your pay slip as MPES. It can take up to 6-8 weeks for MPES to appear on your payslip. For those members who are outside of the MPS we offer a payment option through PayPal or any major credit / debit card. Cheques are also accepted by arrangement. There are no contracts and membership can be cancelled at any time.

Police Staff can also join on-line. Just replace the Rank, Div # and Warrant No fields in the adjacent form with your Job Title, Grade and Pay Number on. Membership is processed in exactly the same method.

The MPS Emerald Society offers several membership types:

  • Full Membership
    This is open to serving and retired Metropolitan Police Officers and Staff and costs £5 per calendar month. This is normally deducted from payroll however where the applicant is a Special Constable it shall be paid by PayPal Subscription / Standing Order.

  • Associate Membership
    This is available to partners of serving police staff, other police staff from external police services, who accept and support the aims and objectives of the Society. There are no voting rights for Associate members. This costs £20 per year and shall it shall be paid by PayPal Subscription / Standing Order.

  • Affiliate Membership
    This shall be available to members of specified partner organisations. Partner Organisations shall be approved and listed by the Executive Committee. There are no voting rights for Affiliate Members. This may include for example members of other Emergency Services at home and abroad whom accept and support the aims and objectives of the Society. This costs £20 per year and shall it shall be paid by PayPal Subscription / Standing Order.
